Biofuel and Feedstocks
Sustainable biofuel options that help reduce carbon emissions while meeting energy needs across various industries.
Sustainable Biofuel Solutions
At Aventis Commodities, we supply high-quality feedstocks and biofuels sourced from renewable materials. Our products support the production of sustainable energy, offering eco-friendly alternatives to fossil fuels while helping industries meet their environmental goals.
Market Structure

Feedstock Suppliers
Companies that collect and supply raw materials (feedstocks) used to produce biofuels. These players typically sell feedstocks to biofuel producers. Aventis partners with such suppliers to secure reliable, sustainable inputs.
Biofuel Producers
Facilities that convert feedstocks into renewable fuels. These actors buy feedstocks and sell finished biofuels — Aventis connects with producers to help them source quality inputs and access global markets.
Biofuel Tickets
Fossil fuel distributors and other obliged entities that must purchase biofuels or compliance credits to meet national renewable energy targets. Aventis supports compliance buyers by sourcing certified biofuels and facilitating ticket trading.

Feedstocks – Where Biofuels Begin
Feedstocks are the starting point of any biofuel. They include a wide range of raw materials from common crops like rapeseed or corn, to waste oils, animal fats, or even residues from agriculture and food processing. But not all feedstocks are equal. Some have a higher environmental impact, while others — especially waste-based or non-food sources — are much more sustainable. That's why under frameworks like RED II and ISCC certification, these cleaner feedstocks are encouraged through multipliers or advanced classification. At Aventis Commodities, we work only with certified feedstocks to ensure compliance, traceability, and real sustainability value for our partners.
Feedstock Incentives
Single Counting Feedstocks
Biofuels made from these sources are commonly used across Europe, but they count only once toward compliance and may face restrictions.
Annex IX Part B Feedstocks
These waste- and residue-based feedstocks count twice toward sustainability targets, though their use is capped at 1.7% of transport energy.
Annex IX Part A Feedstocks
Feedstocks in this category are key to advanced biofuel mandates, count double toward targets, and face no usage limits.

Biofuels
Aventis Commodities supplies ISCC-certified, ready-to-use biofuels made from renewable feedstocks like waste oils and residues. Blended with fossil fuels, these biofuels enable companies to reduce Scope 1 emissions from direct fuel use, while also contributing to Scope 3 reductions across their value chain. We provide certified sourcing, blending support, and market intelligence—ensuring reliable supply and measurable carbon savings across transport and logistics sectors.
Aviation Solutions
Aventis Commodities enables aviation stakeholders to meet their sustainability targets through access to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and SAF credits (SAFc). We support airlines and operators in building effective procurement strategies for sustainable fuels—helping them navigate compliance frameworks while advancing their decarbonisation agendas.
CORSIA
With the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) set to become mandatory from 2027, the pressure to act is increasing. Early adoption of SAF or acquisition of CORSIA-eligible credits offers both a compliance head start and a strategic edge in a sector undergoing rapid transformation.
